SocialMediaOnlineClasses Student Success Stories Posted: 12 Oct 2011 09:33 AM PDT We’re so proud of our students and instructors who are in the headlines lately.  They’re doing big things and using social media to promote their latest projects.  Take a look: Our own YouTube101 instructor, Vanessa Wilson, was featured on ABC’s 20/20 as one of the enormously successful Generation YouTube entrepreneurs profiting from the video platform.  The video is one hour in length, but Vanessa’s interview is about halfway through.  Ginormous congratulations Vanessa! Jennifer Dick’s third book, Quilt Retro, is out from Kansas City Star books.  Jennifer is a Facebook 101 student and she’s also using the advice from our blog tour ebook to promote her online book launch party.  She’s collaborating with other quilting bloggers, gaining a bigger audience for her book and drawing more traffic for the host bloggers.  Congratulations Jennifer! Cheryl Lynch is one of 25 designers contributing to Sew the Perfect Gift published by Martingale & Company. This is Cheryl’s second book, and she’s busy at work on number three!  Cheryl is another Facebook 101 student who used it and her blog to promote her collaborative book.  Imagine what 25 designers can do using social media to sell those books.  Wow!  We’re proud of you Cheryl! Amy Chevalier is a YouTube 101 student who created her first video, a big hurdle to clear.  The hardest part of doing video marketing is making that first one, and Amy did a terrific job highlighting what she carries in her Etsy store. Great job Amy! Nan Baker, Marketing Director of The Quilt Pattern Magazine, is one of our star students who has taken multiple courses from us.  Nan also created her first video to promote the Quilt Kitty contest from TQPM, and she shines because she included a clear call to action at the end of the video. Way to go Nan! We want to see your name here too!
